Joint Customs and GST/HST Information for New Importer's Seminar

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) have teamed up to offer this free seminar designed to benefit individuals or small business entrepreneurs who are thinking about importing commercial goods into Canada.
At this seminar:
CBSA will provide basic information including information about:
- The importing process,
- How duty is determined,
- Other government department, and
- Trade programs with a focus on tariff classification, origin and the valuation of goods.
CRA will offer basic information including information about:
- Non-taxable imports,
- When you need to become a GST/HST registrant,
- Input tax credits, and
- How to file your return.
Representatives from both agencies will be available to answer your questions.
